Everyone: In a high-performing organization, everyone is engaged in doing their work and helping to improve it every day and everywhere. These courses provide a basic understanding of continuous improvement and skill development including: value and waste detection, goal setting, performance measurement, simple problem solving, and working well as a team.


1. White Belt (Quality, Lean, Six Sigma) (aka Introduction to Improvement: Seeing the Possible) course to gain a foundational understanding of the improvement approach, concepts, methods, and the degree to which positive change and benefits are possible. 

2. Active Listening and Communicating Skills (Working with Others) course help everyone improve communications, relations, and productivity.

3. Creating and using effective goal statements and performance measures

4. Yellow Belt (Quality, Lean, Six Sigma (Improvement for Everyone) course to gain the knowledge and skills to perform a individual improvement project. 

5. Mini Training and Practice Modules with immediate practice applying the education gain new or refresh skills.  

Improvement Project Leader: These courses provide knowledge and skills (for Project leaders, Process owners, & Teams) in each step of the improvement cycle, change management, and project management techniques to effectively lead a team through a successful improvement project.

  3. Process Mapping to clarify roles, responsibilities, use of systems, job aids, and see improvement opportunties

  7. Statistical Analysis basics to gather, visualize, and use data to drive decisions

Continual Improvement Champion: In leading improvement projects and the improvement structure there are numerous ADVANCED improvement courses and certifications to create bigger results. These courses apply adult education principles of Tell, Show, Do, Recycle (tell the topic, show you the topic, immediately do/apply the topic, recycle feedback( to confirm knowledge transfer and create immediate benefits.  

  1. Kaizen to rapidly improve processes & engage team ownership
  2. 5S, Visual Controls to decrease searching and movement; a place for everything and everything in its place.
  3. Advanced Facilitation to gain skills for effective and efficient convenings

  8. Failure Mode Effect Analysis to proactively identify possible failures and adjust before the failure can occur

  10. Nonconformance Management Process to identify, manage, and eliminate nonconformances
  11. Flow – Balanced Work – Kanban to increase process speed and quality
  12. Innovation process to envision and create transformational change
  13. Six Sigma Black Belt to use lots of data and statistical analysis to decrease variation
  14. Total Productive Maintenance are the pillars to improve equipment reliabiility and capacty
  15. Value Engineering / Design for Excellence to eliminate not valuable process steps and prodoct components

Reductions in changeover times of equipment or processes create immediate and significant benefits in labor productivity, cycle time and inventory. The SMED approach assesses each task of a changeover process to distinguish what can be done externally to the process of changeover and what cannot.
